General characteristics

Steel ferritic heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant 08KH13. Is for the details of increased plasticity, operating under impact loads (hammers, valves, hydraulic presses), as well as for products that work in slightly aggressive environments (open air, in contact with aqueous solutions of salts of organic acids at room temperature), the blades of steam turbines, valves, bolts and pipes. Type of supply — rolled steel, including the fittings is produced according to the following Standards: 5949−75; 2590−88; 2591−88; 2879−88; 18968−73 and 19442−74. A thick sheet of GOST 7350−77. The sheet GOST 5582−75. Forgings and forged billets GOST 1133−71; 18968−73 and 25054−81. Strip GOST 4405−75; 103−76 and 18968−73. Rod calibrated GOST 8559−75; 8560−78 and 7417−75. Wire brushed and silver GOST 14955−77 and 18907−73. Pipe GOST 9940−81 and 9941−81. Substitute — steel brand 12X13, 12X18H9T.

Technological properties

Start forging temperature: +1220°, end +850°C. the Product up to 30 cm thick are cooled in air in stacks. Prone to brittleness at t o 400−500о S. Steel has limited weldability. Used welding RNC, ADS submerged arc, ARDS and CCC. Use the preheat and final heat treatment, depending on weld type and purpose of construction. Machinability — Kv TV. SPL =0.7 and Kv used. St= 1,4 in the hardened and tempered condition when HB 149−159 and σв = 590 MPa.
