The material with the marking ХН38ВТ belongs to the category of high-alloyed alloys with high values of heat resistance. It is also known under the older name — EI703. A similar composition, produced on the basis of iron and nickel with the addition of a number of other chemical additives for alloying, is highly efficient when working in rather harsh industrial conditions. At present, an extensive assortment of semifinished products of different profile sections, geometric sizes and purposes is produced from alloy ХН38ВТ .


The main useful qualities of this material are due to its quantitative and qualitative composition. Typically, in raw materials with this labeling, there are from thirty-five to thirty-nine percent nickel and from twenty to twenty-three percent chromium. The basis of the alloy is iron, and as additional alloying components can act sulfur, manganese, tungsten, as well as titanium and some other elements.
