At the end of June this year, the Kostanai Rolling Mill, owned by Evraz, started mass production of A500S fittings. According to the press service of the enterprise, the first pilot lot of products was shipped to customers. The annual design capacity of the "Evraz Caspian steel" mill is about 0.45 million tons of products, the produced reinforcement has a diameter of 10 to 40 mm. This is not the first experience of the factory for the production of reinforcing products, for today the production of the A500S series with a diameter of 14-18-25 mm has already been mastered, as well as products of the A class made of 25G2C steel with a diameter of 18-25 mm. In addition, the plant plans to produce the A500SP armature - the only one of its kind developed by Evraz specialists with a view to saving metal, which is about 25%. All the products of the plant are supplied with relevant certificates and passed preliminary quality control.

Among the consumers of Evraz products are the Open Joint-Stock Company Russian Railways, which has already received the first delivery of 100-meter rails. These products - rails of the brand "P65 DT-350" - are produced by the company using innovative technologies, and Evraz is today the world's third corporation capable of manufacturing this product. The starting party went to the October Railway, although not so long ago, RZD was forced to purchase rails from foreign manufacturers.

According to Ilya Shirokobrod, who is the vice-president of the corporation, the "Evraz" line was replenished with a new high-tech product, possessing all the necessary qualities and meeting all the required advanced standards. The industrial production of this product will enable the company to both strengthen existing positions and develop the following export lines. The range of the corporation is expanding constantly, the certification of the rail of the brand DT350SS, intended for high-speed traffic on high-speed lines, is on the turn. This product has already passed the laboratory testing, the testing of products at the testing site in Shcherbinka is on the waiting list.

In 2009, the corporation launched a project with an investment volume of over 18 billion rubles. The reconstruction of the EVRAZ ZSMK shop with an annual production capacity of 950,000 tons of products, thanks to which it became possible to produce 100-meter different-thermally-strengthened rails.
