The basis of the NP2 grade tape is a high purity material containing not less than 99.5% chemically pure Ni. Such a material, due to a minimum of impurities, has a large range of useful properties: high plasticity, corrosion resistance to most concentrated acids, alkalis and aggressive industrial environments, as well as high electrical resistance. Nickel forms, when in contact with air, a dense surface protective film that protects the material from oxidative damage. And the minimum content of impurities contributes to the increase of mechanical and physical parameters and increases the heat resistance of the strip of grade NP2 .
